Refunds & Exchanges

We want you to love your new items, which is why we offer free returns for store credit & exchanges only, provided that:

- Returns are postmarked within 14 days of original delivery.

- The item is in its original condition, unworn, undamaged, in the original packaging with all original tags.

*Note that shipping charges associated with the return will not be refunded. Return costs for refunds to original payment and insurance for loss, damage or theft of the package are the responsibility of the customer. We will provide you with a return shipping label, however the charges will be deducted from your store credit once the return is finalized. The mailer bags that you receive the items in can be recycled to ship the item(s) back.

Store credit will be issued in the form of a digital gift card (via email) when your return has been received and approved. If you requested a return before your items have shipped out, your store credit will be issued immediately and your items will not be shipped.

If any packages are shipped back to us without a return approval, you will not be credited or refunded for the items.


Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Damages must be reported with 48 hours of delivery. For lost (never delivered) or damaged items, please contact us at support@thesaltygem.com so we can help you start a claim.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Custom items (such as personally selected sea glass), sale items, mystery items, gift cards & items purchased from pop-up markets are final sale.

We are not able to reinstate expired discount codes to price match for any sales that may have gone on when you initially purchased.


Exchanges
At the end of filing your return, you will be given an option for exchange, store credit or return for refund. Simple click the 'Exchange' option and you will be guided through how to exchange your jewelry for another item.
